Ready for a New Season!

Metro Praise is moving to a new building after being in the same location for over 4 years. We are occupying the entire second floor, close to 5000 sq ft. and we have plans to gain the storefronts on the bottom floor in the near future. The building is brand new, the layout is perfect, and there is even a new handicap accessible elevator. God is Good!

Please keep us in your prayers that we will remain faithful to God's call and not grow weary in well doing! This is a HUGE step for us, almost double what we have had in the past!

Here are some great things to know about this exciting move:

1. We will hold our first service at the new building Sunday August 1, 2010 at 10am
2. We will have a "Grand Opening Service" Sunday Sept 12, 2010 at 10am
3. Now until Aug 1st, we will be working on building stages, cafes, painting children's rooms, etc. Please pray and support by lending a hand!
4. For the month of August we will be raising the monies to pay off all the work, so be in prayer and preparation to give and help this move be DEBT FREE!

The passage we are standing on:

Isaiah 54
¹ "Sing, O barren woman,
you who never bore a child;
burst into song, shout for joy,
you who were never in labor;
because more are the children of the desolate woman
than of her who has a husband,"
says the LORD.

² "Enlarge the place of your tent,
stretch your tent curtains wide,
do not hold back;
lengthen your cords,
strengthen your stakes.

³ For you will spread out to the right and to the left;
your descendants will dispossess nations
and settle in their desolate cities.

Lift Jesus Up!

We believe God will bring the city of Chicago to fill the "tents" of this new building! The location has double the traffic both in cars, walking, bus, and train. There are more schools in a closer area and a greater variety of Chicago's vast culture and diversity in the local neighborhoods. We are right next to the 94 expressway and a major train spot. Therefore, we believe we will be seen as we LIFT JESUS UP!
